In order to utilize the AutoDiscover features, you will need to create the following DNS record for each domain hosted on our Exchange platform. You will need to contact your system administrator to find out which Exchange Server platform that you currently reside on.
Hosted Exchange 2013
Record Type | Host | Value/Destination | TTL |
CNAME | autodiscover | redir.na02.secureowaonline.com | 1 hour, or the default setting for your provider |
Office 365
Record Type | Host | Value/Destination | TTL |
CNAME | autodiscover | autodiscover.outlook.com | 1 hour, or the default setting for your provider |
Specific Office 365 DNS configuration instructions for major Domain Host providers can be found at the following Microsoft resource:
Create DNS Records for Office 365
Note: If you have multiple domain aliases, each of those domains will need to have the above record added to their DNS Zone. Once AutoDiscover is setup correctly, you will see a pop-up window within your email client.
This pop-up is expected, and indicates that Outlook has detected the AutoDiscover redirect, and is redirecting to a secure AutoDiscover site hosted on our systems. Select "Allow" to continue. Check the box next to "Don't ask me about this website again" > Allow > this will discontinue the pop-up from appearing when using Outlook.
You will need to contact your DNS hosting company to alter your DNS records. Your DNS hosting company is usually your Registrar (where you purchased your domain) or the company that hosts your web site. If you are not aware of who hosts your DNS file, we recommend contacting company hosting your web site.
