This article provides instructions for connecting your Skype for Business 2015 desktop client to your hosted Lync account.  Please ensure that the DNS Settings for Skype for Business have been added to your domain host provider before proceeding with these steps:



1. Open your Skype for Business client.

2. Enter your Sign-in Address.  This will be in a user@domain.com format.  Click the Sign-in button.



3. You may receive a Security Certificate notification requesting permission to Connect.  This prompt corresponds to the Lync server lyncpool##.na02.msexchangeoutlook.com.  Check the Always trust this server,do not show me this again box and click the Connect button.



4. Enter your account Password and click the Sign-in button.



5. You may receive an additional Security Certificate notification requesting permission to Connect.  This prompt corresponds to the Autodiscover server discover.na02.msexchangeoutook.com.  Check the Always trust this server,do not show me this again box and click the Connect button.



6. If this is the first time you are connecting to the Lync platform on this computer, you may receive a Restart notification.  You may either click Restart Now and allow the client to obtain the updates, or click Restart Later to continue the connection process.  If you choose Restart Later, the client will automatically update the next time it is restarted.
