This article will assist you in connecting your Outlook 2013 client to our Microsoft Exchange 2013 servers via a POP3 connection.

1. Open Outlook 2013.

2. Click the File tab (located in the upper left hand corner of the page) > Choose Account Settings and then click on Account Settings

3. Under the Email tab, click the New button.

4. Within the Add Account screen open > check the radio button E-mail Account and then select Next .

5. Click the "Manual setup or additional server types" radio button and then select Next.

6. Choose POP or IMAP and then select Next.

7. Under Add Account, Fill out the following:

User Information:

Your Name: First, Last
E-mail Address: full email address

Server Information:

Account Type: POP3
Incoming mail server:
Outgoing mail server:

Logon Information:

User Name: full email address
Password: your password

Check the box for Remember password. Upon completion select More Settings...

8. Select the Outgoing Server tab.

9. Check the box that says "My outgoing server requires authentication".

10. Select Advanced, and change the Outbound SMTP server port to 587 and the encryption type to TLS/SSL or Auto. Once done click OK.

11. Select Next to test the Account Settings.

12. Click Closed when the test has completed.

13. Click Finish.
