A Roaming Location is designed for laptop computers that may use a variety of different connection types, such as an office or store Wi-Fi, a cellular hotspot, a hotel broadband service, or any other method of accessing the Internet.  This connection uses a client installed on the computer to authorize and perform web filtering for that computer.

The following article contains illustrated steps on how to setup a Roaming Location address. These steps will require the WebTitan service enabled and registered before a Static IP Location can be setup.  If you have not enabled WebTitan, please visit our knowledge base article here.

Setting up a Roaming Location

  1. Log into the WebTitan-enabled account in the CloudPlusService Control Panel.

  2. Click on My Services in the left-hand menu.

  3. Click the WebTitan service banner to expand it.

  4. Click the Add New Location button.

  5. Enter a name for the new location.  Select Roaming from the IP type drop-down menu. Enter the public IP address for the location.  A quick Google search can provide your current IP Address.

  6. Click the Save button.

  7. The Roaming Location is now registered with WebTitan. To begin filtering traffic from the location, On-The-Go client will need to be installed on the computer.  For steps on downloading and installing the On-The-Go client, please check out the following articles:
